INTEREST AREAS
Dr. M. Nounou's current research interests include: modeling, filtering, and control of chemical processes using multiscale data driven techniques. Dr. Nounou's research interests are in the area of process systems engineering with particular emphasis on process modeling and control and applied mathematics and statistics. Specific current research topics include:
- Wavelet-based multiscale methods for modeling, denoising, and data analysis
- Applied mathematics and Bayesian statistical techniques for process modeling and estimation
- Fuzzy systems for process identification and control
- Adaptive control of time-delayed, uncertain, and switched systems
- Modeling and data analysis of separation processes and adsorption isotherms
