Objectives

Program Objectives: The objectives of the chemical engineering program at TAMUQ are:

• Our graduates will demonstrate the foundation, depth, and breadth of knowledge for successful chemical engineering careers in industry or government.
• Our graduates will demonstrate effective communication, leadership and teaming skills.
• Our graduates will demonstrate that they have a sense of responsibility, are ethical in the conduct of their profession, and have an appreciation for the impact of their profession on society.

The extent to which the program is meeting these objectives is periodically assessed through instruments such as alumni surveys and employer/recruiter surveys. Our goal is to continually improve the program's ability to meet these educational objectives. The chemical engineering curriculum and individual course contents are periodically evaluated and adjusted in order to further support our ability to achieve the program objectives.
